De la inceputul acestui blog v-am tot prezentat diferite concursuri unde puteati castiga un iPhone. Nu neaparat ca sa fac reclama vreunui site sau firme, ci ca sa va dau ocazia sa puteti castiga cel mai cool gadget ever. Daca ati reusit sa castigati un iPhone in urma concursurilor prezentate in acest blog, atunci m-as simti foarte onorat sa stiu ca am contribuit si eu la fericirea cuiva

Astazi, din aceeasi serie de concursuri in care se poate castiga un super telefon de la Apple, va prezint concursul organizat de Cartografia 3D clientilor sai dar si bloggerilor, cu conditia ca acestia sa faca un pic de publicitate concursului.

Marele premiu este un iPhone de 8 GB. Alte 2 premii foarte consistente sunt un sistem de navigatie ASUS si o camera foto Samsung, dar si alte numeroase mentiuni, constand in harti si felicitari 3D.

Nu voi da foarte multe detalii, tocmai pentru ca voi sa faceti o vizita pe website-ul organizatorului pentru a afla tot ce trebuie stiut. Voi spune doar ca trebuie sa faceti cumparaturi de pe acest site in valoare de minim 50 RON sau sa scrieti despre concurs pe blog-ul personal, daca aveti.

Just 2 weeks after I purchased through a friend from UK an iPhone 1st gen, Orange, the carrier which will bring the iPhone 3G in my country, announced today that they will release the iPhone 3G on 22 August, aproximately 1 week after I’ll get mine (hopefully, cause that friend will be coming home in 10 days from now and then he’ll give me the phone).

The only things I’m still happy about is that I won’t have to switch to Orange to have an iPhone, because I didn’t want to, also I won’t be paying a huge (most likely) plan and the fact that the 2 generations are not that different. The 3G one only has 3G, which won’t use me over here, GPS (I would have loved that) and a black plastic back. Oh, and 2.0, but I hope I’ll be able to update the phone I’ll get to 2.0 for the App Store.

They are yet to reveal the plans and the price of the phone; I’m very curious if it will be $199 or at least around $199. They also said in that press release that 6 major Orange shops across the country will open at midnight for the fans. Also very curious if there will be the same madness like in other countries

Overall, I’m not sad. I can barely wait to get the iPhone from my friend. Counting days ’till then.

The iPhone 3G day has arrived and for some has already passed. Tens of thousands of people around the world are enjoying right now their new iPhone 3G while others are still waiting to know the release date in their country (my case too ).

The hype has reached its climax, with people waiting in very long lines and TV stations broadcasting about this in every news report.

I’ve entered some contests giving away iPhones 3G so maybe I won’t have to wait until I hear from my carrier. I strongly hope I’ll win one. It would be divine

App Store, 2.0 and iTunes 7.7 are also out. So those who can, enjoy them

The day when the new iPhone will be available in stores is very close and people in all the countries that will get it this Friday are getting really anxious. I guess you saw that at the Cube in NY, Apple’s flagship store, there was line for the iPhone 3G since last week. But I don’t know what to think, if it’s real or it’s just a publicity stunt.

Anyway… New details about the new Apple phone emerged, like the one which said that iPhone 3G will be sold unlocked in Belgium, but at a quite big price of over 500 Euros.

In the meantime, Apple released the Guided Tour of the new iPhone. Watch it here.

If you’re in the US and want to buy it, then you should know that stores will open at 8 am and will immediately start selling the new iPhone 3G, in both AT&T stores and Apple stores.

iPhone firmware 2.0 June 27, 2008

I’ll make this very brief.

It seems that the iPhone 2.0 software will be released the same day with the iPhone 3G, Friday, July 11th. So, for those of you using an iPhone already and wanting to upgrade the software to 2.0 this is the date when you’ll be able to do it.

This is an extract from Apple’s press release regarding this:

“iPhone 2.0 software will be available on July 11 as a free software update via iTunes® 7.7 or later for all iPhone customers.”
